After the village of Mezhibuz was destroyed in the war, the shul that miraculously survived became the fire station. The activist group "Oholei Tzaddikim" redeemed the building, and with the help of generous donors raised funds to renovate and restore this Makom Kadosh. In the Shul you can find a vast library and a quiet and comfortable place to study, a convenience for all guests to the village.

The Besht tapped the ground with his cane and with hot tears begged Hakadosh Baruch Hu to bring forth water in order not to transgress the words of the Shulchan Aruch. Suddenly he heard a soft gurgling sound and from the ground below him a fresh water fountain burst forth! These waters that were created from the power of the pure Tefilla of the Besht, are adorned with wondrous tales, and attract towards them Yidden from all around the world who need a Yeshuah.

The Baal Shem Tov arrived at the sick house and ordered him to leave the rabbinate, so that he would recover.
